Before you call us, these quick checks solve most everyday phone problems in under a minute.
Calls go straight to voicemail
- Do Not Disturb is on. Look for the DND icon on your Yealink screen and press DND to turn it off.
- Call forwarding is on. Check for a forward icon. See DND and forwarding.
- You're logged out of a queue. If calls come through a queue, make sure you're logged in. See call queues.
The phone shows a call but makes no sound
Your ringer volume may be turned right down. While the phone is idle (not on a call), press the volume key up. The idle volume controls the ringer, while the volume during a call controls the earpiece.
Calls ring, but stop before I can answer
Your extension may be part of a ring group that moves on to someone else, or to voicemail, after a few seconds. We can lengthen the ring time. Just ask.
Callers say they get a busy tone
Either your phone is on DND (set to reject calls), or all your lines are busy. If it happens a lot at peak times, we can add a queue so callers wait instead of hearing busy.
The office is closed message is playing during the day
Night service may have been switched on manually and not turned off, or there's a holiday date set incorrectly. Call us and we'll check your time conditions.
